My nephew downloaded this app on his iPad and it's just a bunch of numbers and won't delete. I have already reset by holding down home and power, network reset, airplane mode reset and tried deleting, and signing out of app store and back in. Nothing works. Please help. I tried to post a picture but it won't work the app name says it is -5381922720793902684

Yeah,that's why I suspected a jailbreak.

It would be interesting to know if the app shows up in iTunes, and if it is possible to delete it from there. Otherwise, it looks like you will need to plug the iPad into iTunes, let it do a backup (or choose "Back up now"), then choose the "Restore iPad" button to completely wipe your device. Once it has completed the firmware restore you can then perform the data restore to get your apps and data back. My guess is that whatever this app is, it won't survive and come back after a full firmware restore - it sounds like it is in some limbo state where it isn't fully installed.

Not really.

The device isn't jailbroken, so that app is only from the store. It therefore follows that it's highly unlikely to be anything malicious.

According to that thread, it's just a broken download, and that's why it doesn't have a name.

It's up to the OP, but I'd personally just leave it until the next update. If that fixes it, then great......if not, then do a restore.

All IMHO of course! :)

App install generally doesn't work like that. It's either a complete successful installation or nothing. It's very odd for an app to appear like that.

"Generally" being the operative word here. :)

Haven't had it happen personally......just going from the information in the thread I posted earlier.
[doublepost=1500737548][/doublepost]Maybe try the fix in this thread from the Apple support forums.
