iPod touch cant download apps?

Since i upgraded to IOS 4.1 on my 2g apple ipod touch I have not been able to download apps. I don't have the restrictions on, So I don't know what the problem is.

If you have any ideas please tell me.

The one thing I've had a lot of with all my devices is the need to authenticate my account (iTunes thinks "Oh. New device...")
You should have got a message if that was the case. All I do is re-enter my cc security code, and the device is re-registered.
