I have a file ending in .pxm that I cannot delete. When I select empty trash it says " The operation can't be completed because the (filename) is in use". How do I delete this file, thanks.

Note: When I downloaded the file and double clicked it the file opened in my pixelmator app, that app is closed.

maybe it's still in memory as inactive? If so, use the purge command in terminal to fix this. Or try a restart, that's what I always do when my trash is acting up.
