I have the MBP 13", 10.5.8.
I went to 'Finder' and selected 'Empty Trash'...That was hours ago...It brings up a small window that says it is 'Emptying Trash' but has been stuck on that for probably 8 hrs now...Most other functions on the Mac are operating fine as far as I can tell (Outside the occasional bouncing beachball problem that has been afflicting many new MBPs apparently).
I can't hit the 'x' to stop 'Emptying the Trash'...I hold the mouse button over the trash icon to get the small popup menu to 'Empty Trash' and does not do anything.
I can't restart the MBP...I can't use the 'Force Quit' feature as it doesn't list the Emptying Trash task
No idea what to do from here...
