Please see attached photos. For some reason I can't enable Altimeter Harvest on my Apple Watch, and the setting is nowhere to be seen when going into Privacy > Location Services > System Services on my Iphone.

Bonus question: It's not possible to enable "Status Bar Icon" either. Just curious how to do it if I'd like to.

So glad I found this. Since mid-last week have been having issues with the Apple Watch (S4) adding hundreds of 'floors climbed' units to my health app.

The data set says they've been recorded from my watch. I've been trawling through forums trying to understand how to fix / reset / troubleshoot the altimeter but this is the last setting I can't change.

Running latest non-beta ios / Watch OS, and like you, the setting is greyed out.

Halp!

In the middle of several books.
Do you have motion calibration and distance enabled, along with compass calibration enabled under system services? Also, make sure status bar icon is toggled on on the iPhone. I am guessing you have most of the system services toggled off?

Settings > Privacy > Motion and fitness
- Fitness tracking is enabled (only option here)

Settings > Privacy > Location services:
- Apple watch workout - While using
- Health - While using

Settings > Privacy > Location services > System services:
- All toggled on

I'm curious about the 'Motion calibration and distance enabled' setting you mentioned about.
Is this somewhere else in the settings?

Ah, in the watch app?

Settings > Privacy:
- Heart rate / Fitness tracking - enabled
- Also tapped 'Reset Fitness Calibration data

Think I worked it out.
Open the Compass app on your iPhone.. which will prompt for permission.
After that, I could enable the setting.

I have all of them enabled. I've disabled Location-Based Alerts, Location-Based Apple Ads and Location-Based Suggestions but all the other settings are enabled. However, when setting up the watch the first time they weren't enabled. I realised my watch behaved strangely when tracking running distance so I went into system services and enabled most of the settings. Is it possible to do a force resync somehow?
