So just like the title says, this contact (my mom), she can FaceTime audio/video anyone, including me, anyone else can FaceTime audio/video her, but when it comes to me trying to FaceTime audio/video her, I can't, at least not in the normal way through contacts or through the FaceTime app. I can only FaceTime audio/video her through the messages right top corner setting. I thought this was an iOS 26 issue, but I have read a few Reddit posts from years ago having the same problem, so I'd like to know if anyone has a fix. I already tried rebooting, adding email to the contact and whatnot, deleting and re-adding her contact, literally, anyone else can FaceTime audio/video her, but not me. iMessage is unaffected; that still works flawlessly.

Yes, same problem here - I think they simply forgot to add the icon to contacts. I can only regular calls and FaceTime video no audio.

I did end up fixing it but Im not sure how, I kept removing the contact and adding it again, I also made sure that my moms phone had email also added to access her imessage and facetime, I also made sure when I added her again that I also added her email into the contact, I dont know what exactly fixed it but it works now, I think deleting the contact and readding it is the most important.
