In Lion, the shortcut for the Full screen mode is ^command-F. I can't seem to get it for some reason. I type in "^" as in the emoticon "^__^" followed by Command, followed by F. When I hit these simultaneously, the shortcut doesn't work. What am I missing?

    Thanks!

^ is the thing above the number 6. That isn't the key you press. In Mac terminally, it means the Control key.

Its the key that used to have an Apple logo on it. It now says "command".
