Can't find basic weather warnings

I'd like an app that displays messages when the U.S. NWS issues a warning for my area. I thought this would be pretty basic, but none of the apps I looked at seem to have it. I've thought of writing a shell script to growl the rss feed.

I found a lightweight app called OmniGrowl that can growl RSS feeds, amongst other things.
