Can't find Blank CD on desktop.

When I insert a blank CD into my iMac I can't find it on the desktop or in the Finder. I have tried several CDs but they I still can't find them. 🙁
I am thinking this is a very simple thing. 😱

Another thing. If their is data on the CD it will show up on the the Desktop.

hmm. Thats strange. Try this, goto system preferences-cd/dvd
and then select , when i insert a black cd, ask me what to do.
Then try and insert a cd

I already have that selected. Should I have it open in Finder?

yah, do that, or select open iTunes.
