iPad Can't find "shared albums" on iPad 9th gen ios15

I'm helping my dad with his new iPad.
I shared a photo album with him from my mac.

When he accepted the invite, the iPad asked him to enable "shared albums"
However, when he goes to settings, there is no "shared albums" entry to enable.

How can I find the "shared albums" setting?

Is your dad's iCloud Photos enabled? That may be needed before the Shared Album option will show.
