Okay maybe I'm overlooking it or just really trippen, but I can't find TV shows on itunes. Even when I do a search I only get podcasts and music?!?!?

Looks perfectly normal to me 😕 But then we don't have TV Shows down here.
Check you're actually in the US store 😉

Seems to have affected everyone but me - it's a bug in the update from iTunes 7.0.1 to 7.0.2
