I've only recently switched to using the Mac Mail app despite having had a mac for 8 years... all my hotmail accounts are working fine but i simply cannot get my btinternet.com email addy working with it. I was originally a Bt broadband customer but i switched to talk talk a while back. Getting webmail is fine.
Here's what i've put into the account info for the bt account:
POP account
email address (my email of course!)
incoming mail server: mail.btinternet.com
user name: jay.robinson1
password (the password i use)
In the advanced tab i've used port 110 (haven't ticked ssl)
outgoing mail server
server name: mail.btinternet.com
in the advanced tab:
user name: jay.robinson1
Password (my password)
and i've ticked 'use default port'
any ideas?
