Push lightly the app will begin to shake after about 2seconds, then you can Click the X to delete.

I'd make sure restrictions are set to allow for deleting apps. I lock mine so my son doesn't delete apps on me by accident.

If you have a 6s or earlier, hold the power button and home screen at the same time and only let go when you see the Apple logo on the screen. If you have a 7, you hold the power button and volume button together at the same time till you see the Apple logo.

Try doing a hard restart of your phone and then try deleting the apps. Maybe they got hung up on the failed install.
Didn't work. Man I hate this damn phone I just want to go back to a galaxy. I honestly don't see how anyone could really like these iPhones. The only thing I like is imessage

Your saying I'm doing something wrong? That's why I'm on the phone with apple right now and there stumped on the problem. They even connected to my screen and watched me try to delete them.

What did they say? Not being able to delete an app is a new one for me. Very curious to see what you found out with Apple Support.
