So about every 6 months or so, I put all of my photos/videos on an external harddrive to free up a bunch of space on my phone. I've never had a problem with it ever, until yesterday. I moved the photos to my harddrive, clicked delete photos after they transferred. The memory freed up (about 7gb), so I know the pictures are no longer ON my phone, but they are. theres still a few thousand pictures on my camera roll, but when i click on a picture, it turns white. I cannot figure out how to get these off. I've done multiple hard resets, nothing. What's even more weird is when I go to iPhoto on my macbook, it shows them still on my phone, but as blank JPEG files. Anyone have any idea what to do or have you had this problem before? Thanks ahead of time for any answers!

Are you syncing a folder with iTunes? Synced over photos can't be deleted
