Hey, have an iPhone 13 Pro and ever since the new iOS 16 update I can’t get ride of “Ready for your new iPhone”. Never saw this message before.
Did a quick search and YouTube showed that I need to delete my iPhone backup which I’m definitely not doing. Can anyone help? Thanks

I had the same message. I made an iCloud backup in preparation of my iPhone 14 arriving tomorrow. Then when I tapped on the message it opens a screen telling me I am ready and explaining about holding the new iPhone near my current iPhone to transfer the settings. When I tapped the “done” the original message disappeared. Hope this helps. It did not require the deletion of any iCloud backups.

Thank you for your suggestion, I tried tapping on he message but nothing happens. Did a hard reboot a few times. 🤔

UPDATE:

i did end up deleting the old back up and turned iCloud back up off, did a hard reboot, then turned iCloud back up on and manually ran the back up. Everything is back to normal, the ”Ready for your new iPhone” messsage completely disappeared. Hope this helps someone with a similar issues.
