Can't get safari to stream wm* with vlc without flip4mac

I get the whole no application/x-mplayer2 app. I downloaded RCDefaultapp and set vlc for application/x-mplayer2, but yet I still get that error.

Is there a special way of setting VLC to handle every media for streaming? 😕
