Here's a crazy idea. Why don't you try force closing the music App and see if that takes care of your "problem"?
That worked, but why should I have to do that every time I use the music app? Extremely stupid and annoying.

For me it stays there for a while after i've finished listening to music but then disappears at some point. I just let it handle it how it wants and its fine. I presume it stays there for a while initially to give you easy access to start listening to things again.

It’s not me, I am just most vocal about them. A lot of people either don’t notice or are indifferent and hold technology to a lower standard. Most of the things I post are perfectly reasonable annoyances

For you...

Keep the Music app open and the widget appears on the lock screen. So saying the obvious - it lets you control the music from the lock screen when you are out and about.

Nothing wrong in that for me.

Ok never mind force closing music isn’t working, any other ideas?

Ignore it because it’s not really a problem?

Alternatively, how often are you just looking at the lock screen? Most people are either using their phone and have swiped past the lock screen, or it isn’t being used and the screen is off.

Yeah actually it is a problem, I paid $1k for this thing it is supposed to be the top of the line, this is a very stupid and irritating glitch and when I search there are thousands of complaints about it with no apparent solution.

Its not really a glitch though is it....when you stop playing music it stays there for a while so you can restart it if you wish then it disappears after a while of not being used. Seems fine to me.

Talk to Apple support and see if they have a solution.

One solution that will work - go to settings and disable Apple music.

When you say it won't go away, how long after you used the music App are we talking? I just checked it on my XR and it stayed there for 5 minutes after I stopped the music. Then it went away.
Your salt predates post 4.

No, it’s not. You’re making a big deal out of almost nothing. The music widget goes away after a few minutes.

How much you paid is irrelevant.

I’m sure there are complaints, people like to complain. Either way, it sounds like you’re in the minority.

Have a good one!

It does not go away after 5 minutes for me, it actually does not go away at all. Even after I force close music.

No I’m not, and it doesn’t go away for a lot of people

The amount of threads you’ve started for insignificant issues which could be solved with a quick google search or just attempting to figure it out yourself is indicative of something much deeper than any iOS issues you might encounter. Do you live in Kazakhstan? Is this the only form of interaction your receive? Weird that you have more than 25 pages of started threads. Just saying.

They’re not insignificant issues, and if they could be solved with a quick Google search I wouldn’t have posted them. It’s not my fault that Apple is not held to the same level of perfection it was when Jobs was alive.

This is really weird. My widget doesn't stay there after I force close the app. I am on the public beta of iOS 13, but I think it always disappeared for me when I did that, no matter what software version.

I think the opening poster potentially has an issue with his iOS install or phone....for me the widget will stay there for a short while after i've had music playing in some form either through the speaker, attached to my car via bluetooth or USB or via bluetooth earphones\speaker but always disappears after a few mins or if i do something. Never quite figured out what makes it disappear but it does.
