Can't get to 2.0

I was going to upgrade my 1st gen iphone to 2.0 but when I sync in itunes I get the message that my software is up to date at 1.1.4

What am I doing wrong? I understand that there is a problem with 2.0 and was wondering if it was temporarily off line.

Doing wrong? Nothing. Apple's servers are virtually shot. 2.0 isn't up yet, and has never been up for me. Wait a while.
