I'm trying to get into recovery mode but my build in keyboard 'R' is not functional. I do however have a bluetooth keyboard and a wired keyboard but they are unsuccessful too.

It's essential that i access recovery mode so i can clean install my os.

And tips will be appreciated.

Thanks
Nick

Press Command (⌘) + R to enter recovery mode. If you want to perform a clean install, make sure you erase the drive in Disk Utility before you start the reinstallation. Make sure you have a backup of your data before you do this.

If you want to install the version of macOS that came with your machine, rather than the version of macOS you have installed, use the keyboard shortcut Command (⌘) + Shift (⇧) + Option (⌥) + R instead.

Let me get this straight... You have 3 keyboards, and the R key does not work on any of them.(??) So, you used someone else's computer to make your post.

If it doesn't work with a functional R key, I don't know what the problem is.

The solution is to get the keyboard fixed so that the R key then works... ;)
