In Mojave there is a new preview column for Gallery view in Finder, which you can show or hide in the View options with the checkmark "Show preview column".

This column is now stuck for me and appears in icon and list view. However, the option to disable it is only present in Gallery view, where it's disabled. I can't find a way to get rid of it!

Is there a way in Terminal to force reset the Finder, or to disable the preview column somehow? Any .plist file I can delete?

Thanks!

Wow thanks it really is that simple isn't it ;) I'm dumb.
I thought the preview bar was only controllable trough the View Options...

lol been there done that - especially (for my case) the path bar for at the bottom of the folder view - they are things you only do once in a long time! I have spent hours when that somehow got changed - lol
