I’m trying to use Adobe Bridge on my 2017 Retina 5K iMac with Mojave but have been unsuccessful. It seemed to install ok but, when I try to run it, I get an error: “The operation could not be completed. A write permissions error has occurred.”

I also get the notification every little bit: “Failed to start CoreSync Could not create ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync”

It installed perfectly on my older MacBook pro, also running Mojave.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

What are the permissions on the folder in Application Support? can you delete it and try again?

I'm not sure about how to identify the permissions on the Application Support folder. I uninstalled Bridge (quite the process) and re-installed but get the very same error messages and it still won't load. >:-(
[doublepost=1535596645][/doublepost]I finally was able to get it installed by downloading the full package (not the Creative Cloud installer) and installing it direct. Although it was a slightly older version it did allow me to then go back and install the updated version. Quite the process. Thanks for your help robgendreau!

Maybe use disk utility to verify the disk permissions. They may have got changed at some point.

Do we even need to do this anymore? Worth looking anyway.

Since Mojave has not been released yet, there could be problems between the current Bridge and the beta Mojave releases. I saw that problem with some photo apps using Sierra and High Sierra betas because the photo apps where not updated to handle Metal and then Metal 2.

That's been gone from Disk Utility for several major revisions of the OS.
