Just during the last few days in trying to download and install Apple Software Updates, the download seems to be complete but then this error message pops up:
A networking error has occurred: Error NSURLErrorDomain -1005 (-1005).

I've tried updating applications today, and their updates work fine...only Apple's don't.

Help!

Thanks!!

Manual download didn't work

If by manual download you mean clicking on "Software Update" in system preferences and then downloading the updates, then that's what I've been doing. Tried it again just now. The updates seem to be downloaded, then the same error message pops up "Networking error. Error NSURL Error Domain -1005 (-1005). And this is a recent (last 2 weeks) error...updates have been fine before.

Or perhaps I'm not doing the "manual download" you recommended...if so, enlightenment please?!

"Try manually downloading and installing the latest combo update from the Apple site."

Nah sorry, I mean actually downloading the file from the Apple downloads section and installing the resultant package.

I'm not sure which one is relevant to you. In addition to this, removing the Software Update preferences file (com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist) from the Preferences folder and restarting may help. :)

Thanks...it worked

Thanks...the download from the website worked!

Appreciate your help.
