Can’t install Watch OS public beta. Says device is locked! What can I do? Do I also have to install IOS 15 Beta? Help. What can I do?

I have a new Belkin Charger which won’t charge my watch I need the Watch 8.6 public beta. Trying to install the profile I get device is locked. What can I do? Help! Thanks.

You have to unlock it with the PIN before trying to install the profile….

@bricktop_at it asked me for my passcode. I entered that. Got the error. Do I need to do something else. Trying to install the profile. Can’t get past that.

I see that error when I try to install the profile while the watch is charging and not on the wrist. In that case I enter the code on the watch to unlock it and while it’s unlocked, I repeat the process…

I’m curious why you “need” watchOS 8.6 beta? The charging bugs were fixed in 8.4; and as far as I know, nothing related to charging has been mentioned for 8.6.

You will also most likely need the latest iOS beta first before you can install the watchOS beta.
