Can't load songs, help

I just got an iPhone yesterday and I finally got it all set up this afternoon. The problem is I can't seem to be able to send any music to the iPhone. Photos, podcasts, playlists etc load but not songs. I just drag music files to the iPhone icon like I do for my iPod, but nothing happens. I have the newest version of both iTunes and the iPhone OS btw.


Any ideas? 🙁

You can't drag a song to the iPhone.It has to be in a playlist.

Really? That doesn't seem very convenient. Do I have to make a play list every time I want to load a song?

What I've done is make a playlist called iPhone songs and whenever I want to add a new song I just drag it to the playlist then sync the iPhone.
