Can't log into hotmail

I'm new to mac so please be kind 🙄 I have a second hand power book G4 with OS 10 and IE 5.1. The problem I'm having is a can't login to hotmail I keep getting this message

Unable to establish a secure connection to 'login.live.com' There is a problem with the security certificate from that site

Any help welcome

Try using a different browser. Explorer for Mac was left at version 5.2 and is currently unsupported. Apple's own Safari or even Firefox/Camino might get further. 🙂
