Cant log on to my iMac help would be appreciated!

hi,
somehow my keyboard and magic mouse to my iMac were disconnected overnight. There is a password on my computer so I cannot log on to even try my keyboard/mouse preferences. what can I do?😱

nope stock keyboard and mouse, magic mouse to be exact.

As long as they have charge and are turned on they should connect to the iMac when it starts up (note: not wake from sleep), is this not happening?

Sounds like bluetooth was turned off on your iMac, thus the reason why keyboard and mouse do not work. You will need a wired mouse to turn bluetooth back on. On a side note, it appears the post time on the threads are off by 2 hours. Instead of falling back one hour, this forum moved ahead another hour, so off by 2 hours.
