Can't Login At Home?!

Heya,
My school have recently given out new macbooks. A while ago, I reset my macbook and I couldnt log in (it regected my pass) because it said "Network Accounts Unavailiable". I had to drive down to the school, wait for the the network light to turn green and only then it would accept my password and let me login. I have just reset my macbook and I am having the same problem AGAIN. Is there any faster way to fix this?

Contact the IT department. They obviously forgot to enable local logins on the machine.
