i decided to start fresh on the xp partition so i deleted it (it was FAT32) then tried to make a new one. bootcamp helper refused to make a partition so i ran disk utility verify disk and got something like this....

    Invalid volume file count
(It should be 631719 instead of 631720)
    Invalid volume directory count
(It should be 156988 instead of 156987)
The volume Macintosh HD needs to be repaired.

i couldn't run the "repair disk" option because it won't let me for some reason... i also ran the permission verify/repair but i doubt that that had anything to do w/ partitioning.
my mac portion runs fine, but i still want to make an xp partition. solutions(preferably without having to reinstall osx)?
    thanks

You'll need to start from the install DVD to repair the disc.
