cant open .sitx files

can anybody tell me how to open .sitx files. i have been trying to install some software with .sitx extension but not succeeding.

try stuffit expander. It should come with your mac but if it doesn't download stuffit standard nine

download stuffit expander (http://www.stuffit.com). that should solve all of your problems...
