Every time i try to open the interface builder on 'mainmenu.nib' for Safari, it shows this message:

I want to elimante the Private Browsing button..

I had elimanted safari and i recently downleaded it again, if it helps

    thanks in advance!

Modern nib files are compiled down and are not editable.

What version of Safari were you editing a month ago, before you deleted it?

What version of Safari did you download and install recently?

There's no reason to think they were the same version.

The version i just downloaded is 4.0.5 Leopard
The one I had before was the one that comes with the first 13'' Macbook PRO which was relased about a year ago...

And even so, Safari is Code-signed, altering the nib might break it at some point.

As the other posters have said, you cannot do this any more. Uninstall and reinstall as many things as you want, it'll make no difference.
