Can't play or share voice memos

I'm on iOS8 GM.

Keep getting the message when trying to share a voice memo: Preparing Failed. "Name" is being optimized for sharing at this time.

Furthermore, when I try to play it, I hit the play button and nothing happens...

I need to listen to a voice memo! PLEASE HELP!
