Its not based on how long you've been a member, but rather how many posts you've had. I believe the minimum might be 50, but it will say for sure in the guide at the top of the marketplace forum.

Edit: Post count minimum of 100 posts.

Go to the proper forum and click the big "New Thread" button near the top left. 😉

(Or, if that's not hard enough, click on Forum Tools near the top right and select "Post a New Thread.")

Both excellent suggestions... It would be nice to do something additional for the "how do I get an avatar" posts as well, as there still seems to be quite a few of those as well despite the measures already taken. 😉

just make avatars only visible to yourself until you reach the 500 post limit? Would make it a lot easier as people who don't give a damn about reading the FAQ will just lull with a smile on their face =)

Same could maybe be done in the marketplace forum? Attach it to the memory limit to your private message - 150 private messages or 150 messages containing marketplace new threads that only yourself can see... ... can probably be attached to the tree as stickies or whatnot...


... or is this too mean? 🙂
