Even with High Efficiency turned on, they're too big to share with the community. :(

I had the same problem with my iPhone 8 images. The file size is under the forum limit, but the dimensions of the image seem to prevent the forum software from displaying the image. If you reduce the dimensions of the image in Preview or similar it should work.

Cropping the image (or downgrading its resolution) kills the reason in many cases for sharing such images. Perhaps the forum software can be tweaked to allow 2436x1125 images to post?

I’ve had this since at least the 7 Plus, and it does suck. Is there a fix?

You need to reduce the image size (dimensions) in Preview or similar and it will work. There is no other work around.

The size limit can’t be increased on the forum?
[doublepost=1511280378][/doublepost]Anyone know of a good, simple, iOS app to reduce the size? And what does it need to be reduced to?
[doublepost=1511280677][/doublepost]I used Photos to crop this and it still doesn’t upload:

We have a setting to adjust the file size in MB, but that is not the issue. It seems to be related to the dimensions of the image and there is no forum software setting for that. It seems to be a bug in the forum software.

I played around with some images from my iPhone 8 and I found by just dropping them down to 85% or so in Preview did the trick.

Did you do that from the phone or from a computer? Do you know an easy way to do it from the phone? Thanks

I sent myself the iPhone 8 photo them did it on my MacBook using Preview. I'm sorry, I don't know what iOS app would be best for this.

Edit: Over on iMore they mentioned the free app Image Size that looks like it would work.

I never used to have issues uploading photos from my 6s. I don't know if it's the forum software or ios 11, but virtually all images I try to upload are rejected. I email them to my computer and reduce them there. Definitely a p.i.t.a.
