iPad Can't redeem iTunes gift card!

So I am new to this forum and I doubt this is in the right thread but anyways I am trying to redeem a itunes giftcard on my ipad. And I goto itunes click redeem and when I do a mini version of itunes pops up. Not sure why. I did try on my computer and every time I type the password and hit redeem it keeps asking for my password. I reset my password and typed the new one which didnt work. I also tryed to update my itunes on my computer then retype it that didnt work. I dont know what to do.😕

First of all, I'd make sure you are signed into your iTunes account in Settings > iTunes and App Stores.

If you run into problems, report back saying something like "steps 1-3 went okay, but at step 4, X happened."
