For some reasons, i wanted a fresh install of catalina on my Macbook 2019, booted into recovery mode and erased my drive completely.

i then clicked on reinstall MacOs it brought up catalina, when i click install ut ends up with an error that pops up "downloading installer information to the target volume failed"

i have tried different internet but kept getting errors.

i cant boot from external drive because i didnt turn off the boot security and when i try doing that in recovery mode it pops up a message to enter admin password, when i click that it says no admin found (this is because i erased/wiped my drive already)

i have been on this for days without any solution.

UPDATE:

so i tried shift +option+cmd +R and now instead of installing Catalina its installiung Mojave and it seems to be downloading via my wifi network, a bit slow (6 hours remaining currently) but i hope it gets done

My advice for the future:

As soon as you get Mojave installed, do this:
- set up a basic account to get running
- now, REBOOT to the recovery partition
- go to Startup Security and DISABLE all the "security features"
Now you won't have a problem like this again.

I'd suggest you keep Mojave for a while, before going back to Catalina.

Just out of curiosity, why disable the security features?

i have a same problem, se completó la primer parte de instalación de Mojave, pero cuando reinicia se queda en loop infinito con la manzana en cargando.

Si tienen alguna solicón please
