Somehow my hard drive got corrupt so it was unable to repair. So I erased everything and now i can't reinstall OS X using the disk utility. Turning on my laptop takes me to the OS X Utility, so i have the option of using Time Machine, Reinstalling Mavericks, Get help online and using the Disk Utility. I used the disk utility to erase and repair. But when trying to reinstall using the internet, it'll say 'An error occurred while preparing the installation. Try running this application again.' My disc drive doesn't work either so i can't use the disc my mac came with when i bought.

From what you describe, it sounds like you hard drive is and and it will need to be replaced before you can go any further.

Dio you have a Time Machine backup on an external disk? That can be used to setup the new drive after you install it.
