Can't Remove Device from Image Capture

I can't remove a camera that I no longer have from image capture. The device shows connected when I open Image Capture even though it's not connected at all! The eject button shows beside it, but it won't work either.

I tried to remove the imagecapture.plist files but it didn't work. What did work was to restart the iMac. Uff...
