Can't Remove "My Documents" from doc

I switched back to Mountain Lion from Mavericks, and I cannot get "My Documents" removed from the dock. I don't have the "poof" ability when I drag it far from the dock. Nor have the option to remove it by the icon options from the doc, nor I can remove it by dragging it to the trash. I have deleted the dock preferences file from ~/Library/Preferences, and still nothing.

Try dragging it further when trying to drag it off the dock.

I have a second monitor which is a 24" monitor. I have dragged it to the edge of the screen, and it still snaps back to the dock.

Try this in the Terminal :

defaults write com.apple.dock contents-immutable -bool false;killall Dock

For some reason, now the My Documents folder is no longer in the doc.
