Hi everyone,
After scouring forum posts on this topic for the past hour, I am still unable to rename a folder on my MacBook (OS X 10.5.8).
The folder in question is:
Macintosh HD:Applications:Adobe Lightroom:Contents:Resources:de.lproj
I am trying to rename the folder in order to effectively hide it from Lightroom (LR), so that I can continue to use LR in English, while still having the rest of my OS/apps in German.
So far, I have tried:
- Verifying permissions on the folder (which are now set to "Read & Write" for system, wheel and everyone);
- Repairing permissions;
- Tossing the finder.plist file;
- A restart after all of the above.
Still, I receive the message "You do not have sufficient access privileges to rename the item "de.lproj".
Having only switched over to Mac a couple of years ago after knowing my way in and out of Windows, it appears that I'm not quite up to scratch yet... Understandably, I am getting quite frustrated with this on a Saturday morning. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers from a first-time poster,
- Marc
