Can't reply to recived emails using MobileMe

I have been getting an error message sayng "I can't use the SMTP outgoing server and to pick another SMTP outgoing server from the list" when I try to reply to a received email. If I send an email to that same address from "New Messages", it goes out fine. It only fails when it is a reply. Any ideas?

Is the received email from your mobile me account, or a different account.

When I reply to messages from my gmail account through the mail app, I will sometimes get error messages as it tries to send the message through mobile me instead.
