Firstly, I have to say I am a novice at all of this stuff.
I have a stock iphone 3g. iOS is 3.1.2 (7D11). Modem Firmware is is 05.11.07. I am using a MacBook Pro as my "desktop"

I was preparing to jailbreak my phone to 4.2.1. Per my research, I downloaded Tinyumbrella (v4.30.05) to save any SHSH blobs...not really sure I needed to do this given that I have a stock phone.

Now, I can't restore or update my iphone; this is the message I get: "iphone could not be restored. This device isn't eligible for requested build."

When I run Tiny umbrella in "recovery mode" while I try to restore through itunes, I get this message: "The phone cannot be restored. An unknown error occurred (1604)."

Please help me restore my phone to it's factory settings!!!!!
