Can't scan? HP officejet 6110

I've been trying to figure out how to scan with this printer. If anyone out there has figured it out, please feel free to tell me how its done. 😱

Is it networked? If not, are you in SL? If so, it now has a native scanning app … have you tried that?

> system preferences > print & fax

then choose your printer on the left, then choose the scan tab, then start scanning away

it will look like the photo I've attached
