can't see itunes library on iphone? enabled homesharing

iphone 6s lastest software

ive enabled homesharing on itunes and its running on the mbpro
the networks are the same
logged into both with same username email


still can't see my library
any advice?

It's your broken network! If you use a third party router bookmark the Apple Support article TCP and UDP ports used by Apple software products.

Plus are you using a software firewall?

ah i had to sync a single song to the device and then click on music/"artist" and then it brings up additional options of 'home sharing'
its hidden away and should be alot clearer...

Just for clarification, you are on the same WIFI network correct and all the devices are logged into that WIFI network.
