Cant see some camera roll images

Hi All, my first question on this forum, you guys are an aweome community..

So I have a XR with ios 12.1. I have noticed that if i download or airdrop an image or video, I cant see that in my camera roll if accessed through apps like snapchat or kik. I can see if the image was taken by the phone camera or was a screenshot.
How can I solve this problem?
 
I have never met that problem, but I think you could use iCloud to save them next time, and then download them to your iPhone.
