Can't seem to do Split View? Anyone?

Click and hold the green button won't do nothing.
Dragging an application from Mission Control to a full screen app would only result in a stop sign under the cursor.
Really eager to try the new Split View

I've got a similar problem. I can't drag the green button but I am able to initiate split view from Mission Control.

make sure to enable "displays have separate spaces" under system pref -> mission control
