Hi everyone I am new to using Mail, never wanted to try it out before, so maybe you guys can help.

When I go to send a message I can never send the message, there is always an error while sending the message.

This is the error I am getting "The connection to the server "smtp.mac.com" on port 25 timed out."

Anyway to fix this?

P.S. I am at my home behind a linksys router.

Just to confirm, you do have a .mac mail account, correct? When you configure the accounts with a .mac account it should input all of the necessary settings correctly. Can you connect using a different mail provider perhaps, like gmail, just to eliminate that as a cause?
