what version of yahoo are you using?
I have free email and can't get anything to work, send or receive
if its free what are you settings

Just login to yahoomail.com and go to your mail options and it tells you what the settings should be.

My outgoing mail address is set as smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk:445

Do you have SSL turned off on the outbound side?
