I tried to set up my new M1 Mini over the weekend and no joy. I first attempted to connect my Satechi wireless keyboard and mouse at the first connect bluetooth keyboard and mouse screen. That didnt work. So, tried to plug both of them into the USB ports on the back using the supplied cable. Still nothing. Then I took an older wired PC keyboard I had lying around via USB and still no joy, although when I pressed a key the Mmini did produce a "bonk" type sound so it was receiving a signal of some sort. Point is, I dont appear to be able to get past the very first screen on setup. I have researched this issue and trying the above methods is I all I could find. Is there anything else I can try? Did I not connect the devices correctly? Thanks!

Use WIRED keyboard and mouse for setup.

Perhaps a dumb question, but did you have the display connected when you did as you described above?
