Can't sync my gmail

For reasons unknown, my iphone stopped synching my gmail accounts (set up via Imap)..
Tried everything i could think of -deleted account, reinstated accounts, smiled, promised double ice-cream, etc... but nothing works.

Any suggestions? I use ipad / iphone / MBP, and have three email accounts (all of them through gmail) going on accross the three devices. Up until a week ago, everything was working perfectly....
