can't synch my iphone 5s with itunes

Since updating my iphone to the latest OS, I keep getting the following message when I connect my iphone to my computer. "Please update itunes to the latest version. I have the latest version of itunes, yet I keep getting this message. Anyone else experiencing this sine updating to the latest OS version.

iTunes was updated to version 12.4 just a few days ago. Are you sure that's the version you have?

You need to tell us which version of iOS you updated your iPhone to and which version of OS X that your computer is running. As the previous reply stated, the latest version of iTunes is 12.4.
